The challenge

Long essays, big photographs and a tiny team. The system needed to make a 200-page issue feel considered without a designer touching every spread.

The approach

A twelve-column grid with three page templates, one serif for reading and one grotesk for wayfinding. The website shares the same grid, so a story moves from print to web unchanged.
